In April, the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) released their annual Top 50 list of the largest managers, owners, developers, and contractors in the multifamily industry. InfoTycoon is proud to be the chosen partner of 21 firms on the list, including 4 of the 5 largest managers. Additionally, InfoTycoon would like to congratulate clients AMLI and JMG on their recent growth, and subsequent addition to the 2017 list.
“We’re thrilled to see so many of our clients on this year’s NMHC Top 50 list,” said Kevin George, InfoTycoon President and CEO. “It showcases how the industry is leveraging technology to increase NOI and reduce manual or paper-based processes.”
As revealed in the 2017 report, the apartment industry continues to be in one of the strongest periods of growth. According the NMHC report, completions of new multifamily units reached an all-time high since 1989, totaling 311,700 units for 2016.
Additionally, for the third year in a row, multifamily transactions reached a record high. Hitting $159.4 billion, the volume was 3.9 percent higher than it was in 2015. It was also the only real estate class to have a gain for 2016. It also marks the first time that the top five management firms have all had more than 100,000 apartments under their control.
